The agreed text is as follows:
“CEPT agrees that the concerns raised by the ETNO proposal are very relevant for the future of the sector and should be addressed.
CEPT is of the opinion however that these cannot be solved through modification of the ITRs. CEPT does not support the inclusion of any provisions on these issues in the ITRs.
CEPT is committed to address and discuss them within the ITU and/or in other relevant fora”.
The Chairman thanked ETNO for contributing for the development of this position.
The position will be sent to COM-ITU Plenary for approval.
If the text is not supported by the Plenary, the alternative plan is to produce a factual statement:
“[For the moment,] CEPT does not agree with the inclusion of any provisions regarding IP interconnection in the ITRs”.
